Thanks Dave! That sounds good to me.
Let’s wait on the flyer, and use the one the AHA provides as we have done in previous years.
If we are going to try to organize a competition let’s do it in a separate dedicated thread, and keep this one general to make things easier to keep up with.

Most of the planning and arrangements don’t need to start until late March early April with the exception of the bands. One of the bands this year will be the Ellwood Splinters Band. The contract should arrive in a few days.

Soon I’ll need help with organizing any compitition, food, etc. I may rent a flatbed trailer for the stage, but if not I’ll need a few folks to assemble the old one.

If anyone has any suggestions for this years event, please post them.

I think it’s time to start looking for a source to design and print some flyers or post card sized announcements of the event that we can spread around to brew pubs, craft beer stores etc. Does anyone in the club have a good source or ability to do this? In the past we just printed out 8.5 x 11 flyers on our computer, but I think postcards may work better.

I know there will be a few of us that are not brewing on our own systems.
but will be brewing on Dave’s Big rig for the IPA comp.if that helps any.

Because of predicted rain on Friday, we built the stage today. The new one has almost twice the room as the old one and sits about 3 feet off the ground. We did some work and cleaning on the big barrel system. Porta potty will arrive tomorrow and I’ve come up with a outside wash station if you need to clean up with hot water. I still haven’t figured out a menu yet. I was hoping to provide something different for breakfast, but may have to wing it Saturday morning. Maybe I’ll get time tomorrow to come up with something concrete. Looks like we’ll have a better then average turn out.
