      Dora the length of your shank really matter? Like 3 inches compared to 6?

      Well yes it is a topic haha. My friend is a welder and we were talking about building a custom tap box. But if I can get away with using 3 inch shanks for everything then it would make the job a lot easier. Any suggestions?

      Well, if the 3″ shank is long enough to go through the wall of what you’re building than yes, 3″ is fine. There is no reason to use a 6″ shank if 3″ will work.

      Example, my fridge at home needs a 4″ shank in the door whilr the one at work I could get by with 3″. I notice no difference between the two.
